I belong to a Flickr group called Learning Photography with Neil Creek. It has given me a chance to get some feedback on my work and participate in some photo assignments, among other great advantages. I know this may not seem like much because the group isn't super huge or anything, but I am very excited that one of my photos was a top pick this week with two more among the best submissions overall. My top pick photo is of the Arch in St. Louis. Among the others are the shot I took a couple weeks ago of Harper and a reflection of downtown Chicago through the bean statue.?? The two images below were submitted to the "Reflections" photo assignment.?? Next week's assignment is "Primary Colors".

Candid Family Portraits
Last weekend, my family joined our friends the Murray family, on a trip to the US National Whitewater Center. As usual, I took my camera along.?? I love discovering personalities through photography. There is so much you can discover with studying just a single moment in time. The first photo below is definitely a favorite of mine. I shot this series of photos with my Nikon D70s.Harper and Calvary are 4 and 2 years; their mom, Cassie, is pregnant with #3. I have shot portraits of the family before and they all make great models!
Below is a photo-booth-type collage.?? What's the most interesting about these shots is that I took them with the camera sitting directly on the table so Calvary didn't realize I was taking his picture and shy away.
