As I mentioned in a previous post, I have been working on shooting a house and cabin for some really good friends. This house is located several miles south of Waxhaw, NC. Each year, they hold a Halloween Hayride and this October will be the 30th one they've had. I've gone to these since I was 10 years old, so it was quite an honor to have my work (my interpretation of a "spooky" house) for the cover of this year's invitation. In addition to the photos below, I also designed custom stamps for the invitations. I took many angles of the house and presented several spooky renditions; the images below are my favorites. They chose the first image in a more orange tint. Do you find these images spooky?

Variations on a Cabin | Part 1
I've been working on a job lately that involves shooting two structures, a house and an old (being rebuilt) log cabin. I'll post the photos of the house later. In the mean time, here is the first in a three part series of the cabin. Tony has been rebuilding this old cabin from scratch on his property. I love the textures in this shot. The cabin has a very unique look in its incompleteness.
