4/52 - For my self portrait this week I wanted to convey the cold that has moved in to my little area of the world.  Now, by comparison to my cousin’s house in Wisconsin, I know the 20s is hardly cold… BUT I live in the Carolinas for a reason.  I do not like being cold!  I am also loving this vintage leather trench that was my mom’s when she was my age.  Anyway, maybe at some point I will migrate into color selfies.

3/52 — I didn’t like how my self portrait photos came out this week so I filtered the heck out of what I thought was the best one.  Oh well, some weeks you’re on, some weeks you’re off… a feeling I recall quite well from the 365.  Or in this case, some weeks the kids cooperate in letting you play, others they don’t.

Me: I used to watch This Old House when I was your age.
Jonas: Was I in your tummy then?
Me: No.
Jonas: I was just a glimmer in your eye.

2/52 Outtake: This is one of the images I did not choose from my 2/52 shoot for #52selfs, but I still like it… a lot, actually.

Shot with a Lensbaby Composer and Nikon D600.  Obviously natural lighting from a gloriously cloudy afternoon. I love how weird my right hand looks because of the tilt-shift.  Balloon hand! :)
