My mother and aunt took me on a tour of the town they grew up in two days after my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. On the walk, I saw the church where my parents were married, their childhood home, their elementary and high schools, and many other landmarks that were significant to their childhoods. It was cold, quiet, and dreary, so I decided to portray the photos in a similar way.
